Abrasives
The grit sequence is where floors are made or ruined. Running the wrong paper, or worn paper, is the most common cause of a floor that looks acceptable bare and terrible once finish goes down.

Belts for drum sanders, discs for edgers, screens for buffers, in the sizes machines around the Cape actually take. If you are unsure what yours needs, bring the old belt or read us the model number.
Coverage estimates assume clean bare wood. Old polyurethane, residual wax and adhesive load abrasive far faster than that. Plan on at least fifty percent over, and change paper when the cut slows rather than when it looks used. Worn paper burnishes wood instead of cutting it, leaving a polished surface that will not take stain evenly.
Applicators and finish tools
A finish is only as good as what puts it down. A shedding roller or a pad that leaves lap marks shows in every square foot.

Dust containment is not only a courtesy to the homeowner. Airborne dust settling into a wet finish is one of the most common reasons a coat has to be screened and redone.
Fillers and repair
Color Putty in a range of shades for nail holes, small gaps and blemishes, with a color card in the store to match against the actual floor. We also carry DuraSeal wood putty, which takes tint and is the usual choice for larger fills before finishing. See putty color matching.
