A flooring store, not just a finish counter
Most people find this site looking for Bona or DuraSeal, and that is fair. It is what the shop is known for. But customers also walk out of here with the floor itself, and if you are searching for hardwood flooring in Falmouth you are in the right place.
The advantage of buying both in one stop is not convenience, it is compatibility. The person selling you the wood is the person who knows which stain reads correctly on that species and which finish will survive the way the house is used. Red oak and white oak take color completely differently. That conversation is free and it happens at the counter.

What to bring to the conversation
- Square footage, plus waste allowance. Ten percent is a reasonable starting point, more for diagonal or herringbone layouts.
- Whether the house is heated year-round or a seasonal property. This changes the acclimation conversation entirely.
- Subfloor type and whether the install is on grade, above grade or over a crawlspace.
- Any existing floor you are matching, ideally a physical offcut rather than a photo.
- Your timeline. Season matters on the Cape; supply and delivery windows tighten through the summer.

Finishing what you buy
Unfinished floor needs a system, not a product. The usual path here is a penetrating stain if the floor is getting color, then two or three coats of waterborne finish.

Wickham, made in Canada
Wickham is the solid hardwood line on the rack in the showroom. It arrives prefinished from the mill, which matters on Cape Cod for one practical reason: a factory finish is applied and cured in a controlled plant, not in a coastal house in August. You skip the sanding, the dust containment, the cure window and the humidity gamble entirely.
The color range runs wide, cool greys at one end through warm ambers and deep browns at the other, with a large group of natural and white oak tones in the middle. Colors currently on display include North Cape, White Oak, Misty Grey, Dover Grey, Camden Grey, French Grey, Almond, Hazelnut, Candlelight, Graphite, Dawn, Natural, Cream, Wheat, Harvest, Sienna, Amber, Copper and Mahogany.
Screens lie about wood color. If you are choosing between two tones it is worth the drive to see them side by side under the same light.
